Dr. Dick and Jane Ward of Ohio registered this H. 'Pin Stripe Sister' seedling in 2005. The medium size hosta forms an 18 inch high mound and bears pale purple flowers starting in late June.

Dr. Dick and Jane Ward have named several of their hostas in honor of close relatives. They let me know that, "H. 'Splendid Sarah' is named after our daughter, who is the mother of granddaughters after whom H. 'Kaitlyn' and H. 'Emma are named. H. 'Lauren's Delight' is named after a daughter-in-law, and she is the mother of Alison, of H.' Alison'.  H. 'Magnificent Michelle' is named after a daughter-in-law."
