Registered by Marlene Rosenberg and Jonathon Goodrich of Uniquely Hostas in Wisconsin in 2020, this medium size (17 inches high by 30 inches wide) cultivar is of unidentified parentage. It has medium blue-green, broadly ovate foliage that is slightly cupped, very slightly wavy, glaucous on top and has accuminate leaf tips. Pale lavender flowers bloom from mid-July into August.

The registration materials state: "...Holds its purple blush later into June...Purple blush in the spring."

Uniquely Hostas says, "Hosta Purple People Eater is a nod to the famous defensive line of the Minnesota Vikings from the late 1960s to the late 1970s.  A nice hosta with a purple blush in the spring!"
