According to the 2013 Registrations document, "...was registered with description in the Registrations for 2010. After publication it was realized that the cultivar name 'Some Like it Hot' was too similar to H. 'Sum Like It Hot' (2005). Accordingly, the name was changed to H. 'Happy Birthday, Mr President'..."

As a result, the cultivar name 'Some Like it Hot' has been declared Not Available for Registration by the Hosta Registrar.
