Originated in 1983 by Steve Moldovan of Moldovan Gardens in Ohio, this non-registered cultivar is of unidentified parentage. It is a giant size hosta with heavily corrugated, intensely blue-green foliage.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...has been confused with 'Sea Surf', a cultivar credited to Mildred Seaver."
