Originated by
Dr. Ralph (Herb) Benedict of Michigan, this non-registered cultivar is of unidentified parentage. It is a medium size hosta about 17
inches high by 48 inches wide with light green foliage.
The leaves are wavy, floppy and have smooth texture.
Very pale lavender flowers bloom on scapes up to 35
inches tall.
According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...appears to have a
Hosta hypoleuca background, based
upon both foliage and flowering traits."
Wonder
what Herb had in mind with this name which, according to
the dictionary means "...a fraud or swindle, especially
something that is grossly overpriced..."
