This non-registered
cultivar was originated by
Shinya Fukatsu of Japan.
According to an article by the originator in
The British Hosta and Hemerocallis Society Journal
(Autumn 2019) this is a medium size hosta of
unidentified background. The green foliage has a
yellow-misted medial (center) variegation and whitish
colored backs. Its petioles have dark purple spots and
the leaves have a convex curve later in the season. The
densely arranged flowers bloom on scapes in good
proportion to the clump.
Named for the person noted for establishing the Japanese
tea ceremony in the 16th century. |
