This large size cultivar is a
stabilized form of H. 'Shenanigans' that was registered by
Nancy Krul of Belle Gardens in Michigan
in 1995. It grows to about 22 inches in height and width
of 53 inches with corrugated, slightly wavy foliage. The pale
lavender flowers bloom in mid-July.
According to
The Hosta Handbook by Mark Zilis (2000), "Almost any clump of
'Shenanigans' will stabilize to a green-centered,
creamy-margined form. 'Picadello' is another case of a sport
that eventually became more popular than its streaked mother
plant."
