Hosta 'Mississippi Mud'

Ron Simmering of Iowa registered this seedling of H. 'Sagae' in 2000. It grows into an upright giant size plant about 32 inches tall with a spread of 84 inches. The blue-green foliage changes to dark green by midsummer. Leaves are ovate, heavily corrugated, cupped and have thick substance. Pale lavender flowers bloom from late July into August.
