Hosta 'Lonesome Pine'

The specimen shown above and below was labelled 'Lonesome Pine'. If that was correct, then it has lost its variegation and reverted to the all-green form.

Wm and Eleanor Lachman of Massachusetts registered this cultivar of unidentified parentage in 1995. Its leaves are green with a contrasting yellow to creamy white marginal variegation. The slightly corrugated, wavy foliage grows into a mound about 18 inches high and 45 inches wide.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "I've seen this cultivar in four gardens and it varied considerably."
