This cultivar is a sport of H. 'Crowned Imperial' which was registered by Dr. Ralph (Herb) and Dorothy Benedict of Michigan in 1999. It forms a medium to large size mound with pale lavender flowers from late July into mid-August. The foliage is medium green with streaked variegation.
