						  Originated in Japan  but registered in 2002  
																by
						 Peter Ruh of Ohio 
						and
						re-registered 
						with new data in 2018,  this 
						small to medium size (11.5 inches high by 26 inches wide) cultivar 
						is of unidentified parentage. The yellow gold colored foliage 
						is ovate, slightly twisted, slightly wavy and dull on top. 
						Lavender-pink, tubular flowers on scapes up to 18 inches tall 
						bloom from late July into August followed by viable 
						seeds. 
 
						The registration materials state: "...tough, 
						medium-dwarf yellow; good texture..." 
						Mikiko Lockwood in an article on The Hosta Library titled, 
			
			A Little About Japanese Hosta Terms  defines the term hime 
						as small, mini, dwarf or princess, the term ogon or oogon as gold or yellow. and the term iwa as rock, Iwa Gibōshi or 
			H. longipes.
