This non-registered cultivar from
Wm Zumbar
of Ohio is of unidentified parentage. It makes a medium size
mound about 18 inches high and 49 inches wide with highly
variable, streaked foliage. Pale lavender flowers bloom in mid-July.
According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...appears to be a heavily
streaked 'Fortunei' type.. .closely match 'Fortunei Hyacinthina'..."
A guidon is a type of flag like the one pictured above. (The specimen above which was
photographed in the
Wade & Gatton collection in 2010, seems to
have reverted back to its all green form. -
