						this was the plant distributed at the 2016 
						
						National Convention of
						
						The American Hosta Society in St. Louis, Missouri. A 
						tissue culture sport of H. 
						'Banana Split', 
						it is a large size hosta about 22 inches high by 45 
						inches wide with a semi-upright growth habit and fast 
						growth rate. 
						The leaves are shiny on top, ovate and 
						relatively flat overall. Medium lavender flowers bloom 
						from August into September on scapes 25 to 37 inches 
						tall followed by viable seeds in red speckled green 
						pods. The registration 
						materials state: "...Quickly forms a dense mound of 
						upright green leaves with very thick substance. Red 
						speckled seed pods turn cherry red upon maturity. One of 
						two 2016 AHS Convention Plants." |
