Hosta 'Filigree's Sister'

Originated by Tom Schmid of Michigan and registered on his behalf  by Registrar, Kevin Walek in 2009, this cultivar is an open-pollinated seedling of H. 'Filagree'. It is a large size hosta about 21 inches high by 42 inches wide with "mottled" blue-green foliage that has golden colored streaked variegation. The ovate shaped leaves are moderately corrugated, slightly cupped and slightly shiny on top. From late June into July, it bears near white flowers in dense clusters.

The registration materials state: "...dense flower clusters."

The mother plant is spelled with an "a" in Filagree while this sport is spelled with an "i" in Filigree. Who knows why?
