This H. ventricosa type hosta was originated by Dr. Charles Purtymun at Walden West Nursery in Oregon. Kevin Walek (Hosta Registrar) registered it on his behalf in 2009. It is a medium size plant about 16 inches high by 44 inches wide with blue-green foliage that turns dark green by midsummer. The leaves are broadly ovate and dull on top. It bears pale lavender, funnel shaped flowers in July.
