2018,
this cultivar which was originated by
Chuck Finke
of Wisconsin is a seedling of
H.
yingeri. It is a medium size hosta which forms a
mounded clump about 18 inches tall by 42 inches wide
with medium to dark green foliage. The leaves are flat,
very shiny on top and slightly corrugated. Pale lavender
flowers on scapes up to 30 inches tall bloom in
September. It sets seeds but their viability had not
been determined at the time of registration.
The registration materials state: "...Dark green
leaves are long and glossy with white backs. Somewhat
H. kikutii-like but larger and glossier with minimal
dimples. The name refers to my late, dear friend Arthur
Degnitz. ."
