![](../../images/buttons/000000-AA-Book-Encyc.gif) Bob Solberg of Green Hill Farm in North Carolina registered this cultivar in 2004. It is the result of a
cross of an unnamed seedling (H. pycnophylla x H. 'Harvest Dandy')
and an unnamed seedling (H. 'Blue Arrow' × H. 'Sea Fire'). A medium size (13 inches tall
by about 40 inches wide), semi-upright plant, it has slightly rippled,
blue-green foliage and lavender flowers from late July into August.
It has good leaf substance.
The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by
Diana
Grenfell (2009) states: "One of a range of blue-leaved hybrids raised by
its introducer to produce leaves which hold their
color well through the summer."
