case of a new hybrid hosta cultivar, both the pod
and pollen parent names are recorded. In a large
number of cases, only the pod parent is known since
the bees did the pollinating.
Listed below are cases where both parents are known
and the same two plants were used to produce two or
more new cultivars. The pod parent i.e. mother plant
is listed first followed by the multiplication sign

(not an X) and then the pollen parent i.e. father
plant.
The left column of
the table is alphabetical by pod parent while the
right column is alphabetical by the pollen parent.
